What a difference food makes

This girl is one of Teddy's daughters.  She was very sick with an infection in her stomach.  We paid for the antibiotics that helped her and her two siblings recover.  We have also provided food to supplement the daily diet at the sewing workshop.  She is now a picture of health.
This is Jr.  He is getting very tall and handsome.  His mom is part of our soap making workshop. We also provide food to the women in the soap group.

The garden at the workshop is growing well.  We would like to buy them a few cows for milk.  Sylvia's husband has a small farm outside of Kampala.  He could care for the cows, and bring milk to the MOPS group.  The extra money from the milk would pay for the monthly feasts.  When we are in Uganda in August, we also want to build a big chicken coop.  This will give the women eggs.  Food is a powerful gift.    We have a go fund me account and a PayPal account if you want to contribute to the monthly feast, the food in the workshops, or to the fund we need to buy a cow or chickens.   A cow-cost about 300 USD, a chicken coop will cost us about 500 USD to build.   Our group has 20 women, 6 leaders, and 25 kids.  The group also regularly shares their food with local kids.  Today they had their monthly feast.  They invited these children from the area.  These kids are very hungry. But today they had something to eat.  Food changes everything.

I never look at the masses as my responsibility. I look at the individual. I can love only one person at a time. I can feed only one person at a time. Just one, one, one.” Mother Teresa
